# Product name and price readable without JavaScript

Why it matters Major AI crawlers (GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ClaudeBot, PerplexityBot) don’t run JavaScript; an agent that can’t see the price can’t compare the offer.

## How we measure it

We read the product page’s initial HTML, without running JavaScript: are the product name (structured data, og:title or h1) and the price in it? If either is missing the check fails and is a critical blocker. On hotel and service sites we look for the business name and at least 200 characters of readable text on the homepage.

On hotel and service sites this check is measured on the homepage instead of a product page.

### What the result page says

These are the sentences in the test result; “…” is replaced by what we found on your site.

- Passed The product name and price are in the page’s initial HTML, so agent crawlers that don’t run JavaScript can read them.
- Failed The initial HTML is missing: …. It’s probably loaded later in the browser; most AI crawlers don’t run JavaScript and can’t see it.

## How to fix it

**Target:** Product name, price, currency and stock are in the initial HTML (server-side rendering or static generation).

### Example code

`<!-- In the initial HTML, before any script runs -->
<h1>Sample product</h1>
<span itemprop="price" content="49.90">USD 49.90</span>`
Example values (example.com, product name, price) are placeholders; replace them with your own.

### How to verify it yourself

Open a product page with JavaScript disabled or use “View source”: the price and product name should be there.

### Fix it with an AI coding agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Cursor or another coding agent working on your store’s code. Review the change before you deploy it.

`You are working on my online store. Specoria’s agent readiness test checks the item below. Fix it so AI shopping agents can read the store and act on it.

## 1. Product name and price readable without JavaScript (no_js)
Target: Product name, price, currency and stock are in the initial HTML (server-side rendering or static generation).
Example fix (adapt it to this codebase and platform; example values are placeholders):
```
<!-- In the initial HTML, before any script runs -->
<h1>Sample product</h1>
<span itemprop="price" content="49.90">USD 49.90</span>
```

## Rules
- First look through the codebase and tell me which files or templates you will change, before editing anything.
- Change only what these checks need, and keep the visible page and the structured data saying the same thing.
- Never invent prices, stock, shipping or return terms, reviews or product identifiers (GTIN): take them from the store’s real data or ask me.
- Don’t block or slow down real visitors and don’t add tracking.
- After deploying, run the free test again at https://specoria.com/ to verify the fix.`
