Specoria and other kinds of tools
Tools for “AI-ready commerce” do quite different jobs. This page sets out, by category and without naming anyone, what each kind of tool usually does, where Specoria fits, and when another kind of tool is the better choice.
Four kinds of tools
- Readiness checkers
- Scan a site for agent-facing technical signals: protocol files, structured data, bot access. Often free or low cost.
- AI visibility trackers
- Run sets of questions through AI assistants on a schedule and report mentions, share of voice and cited sources.
- Catalog enrichment and feed platforms
- Improve product data at scale (attributes, descriptions, feeds), often writing back to the store or PIM.
- Agencies and managed services
- Do the work for you: audits, implementation and monitoring, often under a service agreement.
What each kind of tool usually does
A category cell describes what most of the reviewed tools in that category do; individual tools differ and change. Specoria’s cells link to the page that shows the evidence.

Rows where Specoria says “No” or “Partly” are on purpose: they are things we don’t do, or don’t do yet.
Where Specoria fits
- You want to know, today and for free, whether shopping agents can reach and read your store, and what to fix first.
- You want to see a real AI agent shop your site in a browser, and where it gets stuck.
- You run a hotel or a service business, or you sell in Türkiye, and want checks made for you.
- Your own team (or your web agency) applies the fixes, with ready code and a re-check button.

When another kind of tool is the better choice
- You need daily share-of-voice tracking across many AI assistants
- An AI visibility tracker. Our visibility check runs monthly (plus on request) on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, asking each question 3 times.
- You need AI-written product content pushed into your store automatically
- A catalog enrichment platform. We don’t generate product content; our optional write-back (coming, only with your approval) applies fixes such as structured data, not AI-written copy.
- You need product feeds generated for marketplaces or AI shopping programs
- A feed platform. We check your feed and generate an OpenAI product feed from your catalog, but we don’t manage marketplace feeds.
- You want someone to do all of it for you
- An agency or managed service. Our Growth plan includes an expert who implements fixes with your team, but your team stays involved.
Who Specoria is not for
- Marketplace-only sellers: we measure your own website, not marketplace listings.
- Anyone looking for guaranteed AI rankings: nobody can guarantee what an assistant recommends.
- Sites whose whole checkout or booking runs on another company’s domain: our agents stay on your domain, so that part is marked “not measured”.
Questions
Why don’t you name the other tools?
A comparison by name needs a legal review and goes out of date quickly. Categories describe the choice you actually make: what kind of tool you need.
Where do the category cells come from?
From our review of the public websites of 14 tools in October 2026. A cell shows what most tools in that category did at the time; we didn’t buy or test their paid plans.
Can I use Specoria together with another tool?
Yes. Many teams pair a readiness test like ours with a visibility tracker or a catalog platform; the questions they answer are different.
