Home and living stores: can an AI agent read dimensions, materials and delivery for bulky items?
Furniture, textiles and homeware are bought by measurement and material, and delivery matters more than usual: large items often have their own delivery times and costs.
Requests a shopper might give an agent
- “A 160 × 230 cm wool rug in grey, delivered within two weeks.”
- “A solid wood dining table for six, under ₺20,000, with delivery and assembly costs stated.”
- “Washable cotton curtains, 140 cm wide, two panels.”
Examples written by us to show the kind of constraints shoppers set. They are not measured question frequencies.
The questions an agent needs your product page to answer
The free test reads one of your product pages and checks whether it answers the questions expected for that type of product: first in the structured data, then in the visible page text (a rule-based dictionary in Turkish and English, no AI). The result appears as the “Product question coverage” line, which doesn’t affect the score.
| Question | Why it matters here | Expected for |
|---|---|---|
| size / dimensions | Dimensions decide whether it fits; “160 × 230 cm” style measurements are what the agent compares. | home and living |
| material / ingredients | Solid wood or veneer, wool or synthetic: shoppers ask by material. | home and living |
| care | Washable, dry clean only, how to clean: frequent questions for textiles. | home and living |
| warranty | Furniture and appliances often carry a warranty the agent should quote. | home and living |
| returns | Returns of bulky items often have special conditions; state them. | home and living |
| delivery time | Bulky delivery can take weeks; the agent needs the stated time. | home and living |
| stock / variants | Sizes and colours are variants with their own stock and lead time. | home and living |

Simulator scenarios that fit
The agent simulator sends AI agents through your store in a real browser. They stop at checkout: they never order, sign in or type personal data.

What we don’t claim
- Assembly services and delivery appointments are not checked.
- We read the delivery information you publish; we don’t verify actual delivery times.
- We don’t publish averages for this category: no figure without our own sample size and date.
- The question check is a dictionary signal on one product page, not a verdict: a phrase it finds may not fully answer the question, which is why the result shows the excerpt.
- Nobody can guarantee that an AI assistant recommends your products; we measure whether agents can read and use your store.
Questions
Our delivery cost depends on the address. What should we publish?
Publish the rule (for example the cost per region or the free-delivery threshold) in text and, where possible, in shippingDetails. An agent can quote a rule; it can’t guess a calculator.
Do you measure product dimensions in images?
No. Dimensions must be in the text or the structured data for the test, and for agents, to read them.
