Booking entry point reachable

Why it matters An agent that can’t find the booking entry hands the guest to an OTA instead, and you pay the commission.

How we measure it

We look for a real form with check-in/check-out dates, or a link to booking, on the homepage; found passes. A booking engine that only shows up in scripts is a partial pass; neither fails.

What the result page says

These are the sentences in the test result; “…” is replaced by what we found on your site.

  • PassedThe homepage has a real booking form with check-in and check-out dates; it submits to …….
  • PassedThe homepage links to booking; the link goes to …….
  • PartialA booking engine… is loaded by script, but there’s no plain link or form; agents that don’t run JavaScript can’t find the way in.
  • FailedNo booking link or booking form was found on the homepage.

How to fix it

Target: A plain <a href> to the booking engine (with dates as URL parameters if possible) or a GET form with check-in/check-out fields.

Example code

<form action="https://example.com/booking" method="get">
  <label>Check-in <input type="date" name="checkin"></label>
  <label>Check-out <input type="date" name="checkout"></label>
  <button type="submit">Check availability</button>
</form>

Example values (example.com, product name, price) are placeholders; replace them with your own.

How to verify it yourself

With JavaScript disabled, the homepage should still show a “Book” link or a date form that leads to availability.

Fix it with an AI coding agent

Paste this into Claude Code, Cursor or another coding agent working on your store’s code. Review the change before you deploy it.

You are working on my online store. Specoria’s agent readiness test checks the item below. Fix it so AI shopping agents can read the store and act on it.

## 1. Booking entry point reachable (booking_entry)
Target: A plain <a href> to the booking engine (with dates as URL parameters if possible) or a GET form with check-in/check-out fields.
Example fix (adapt it to this codebase and platform; example values are placeholders):
```
<form action="https://example.com/booking" method="get">
  <label>Check-in <input type="date" name="checkin"></label>
  <label>Check-out <input type="date" name="checkout"></label>
  <button type="submit">Check availability</button>
</form>
```

## Rules
- First look through the codebase and tell me which files or templates you will change, before editing anything.
- Change only what these checks need, and keep the visible page and the structured data saying the same thing.
- Never invent prices, stock, shipping or return terms, reviews or product identifiers (GTIN): take them from the store’s real data or ask me.
- Don’t block or slow down real visitors and don’t add tracking.
- After deploying, run the free test again at https://specoria.com/ to verify the fix.
